Oct 15, 2014 · P16-positive patients had better 5-year rates of OS and PFS than p16-negative group (P = 0.02 and P = 0.007 by the Log-rank test, respectively). Using HPV status as a stratification factor, we found differences in OS and PFS that were consistent with those based on p16 expression. P16 is a very good marker of HPV infection for ESCC.
I see mostly negative reviews and problems with laptops in this subreddit, so I wanted to balance it out with a positive review of my new Thinkpad. I was forced to use supplied with Macbook Pros in my previous job, and I got used to the large beautiful screen. When buying a new laptop, my requirements were these: 16'' laptop with a bright screen.
Sep 29, 2020 · In conclusion, it is known that p16-positive cases have better prognosis than p-16 negative cases and studies are underway to try to reduce the dose intensity of chemoradiotherapy [24,25]. The CR achieved after neoadjuvant chemotherapy in our case supports the evidence that conventional high intensity chemoradiotherapy might be overly invasive
Jan 20, 2022 · Both patient groups had an inferior clinical outcome to double positives. When stratified by HPV mRNA status alone, patients who were p16 negative but HPV mRNA positive had a better outcome than their p16-positive but HPV mRNA–negative counterparts (Shinn et al., 2021). 3.2 Not All HPV-Driven OPSCC Are Equal: Risk Stratification in HPV OPSCC.
Jun 11, 2021 · The role of p16/ki-67 negativity in combination with HR-HPV positivity remains to be fully interpreted and understood. Summarizing our results, p16/ki-67 dual stain presented both higher sensitivity and specificity, providing good clinical outcomes, while lowering the annual direct medical costs of CC screening.
Jun 13, 2020 · Association of p16 overexpression with various clinicopathologic parameters including T-stage, N-stage, grade, recurrence status, and risk factors was evaluated. Results. p16 over expression was noted in 22.9% (33 cases), while 21.5% (31 cases) were focal positive and 55.6% (80 cases) were negative for p16 over expression.
Sep 30, 2017 · The immunostaining of p16 INK4a and HPV vary in the total sample positive and negative reaction, indicating that p16 INK4a is an effective way to detect invasive carcinoma than HPV. Proliferation marker, Ki-67 showed significant correlation with p16 INK4a in other HPV associated tumors.
Dec 19, 2023 · We analyzed the correlation between p16-positive and p16-negative CTCs and HPV genotyping, tissue p16 expression status, response to chemoradiotherapy, disease-free survival, and overall survival.
Oct 22, 2020 · This study aimed to determine whether p16 immunohistochemical staining can be used as a prognostic marker to replace CDKN2A genotyping in molecularly characterized diffuse gliomas. We first examined the correlation and concordance between p16 immunochemistry and CDKN2A fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) results.
The results were published online ahead of print on May 12 in the Journal of Clinical Oncology. HPV16 was found in 81% of tumors, far and away the most common of the HPV subtypes; it was followed by HPV33, present in only 5.1% of tumors, and HPV18 and HPV58 in even fewer patients. Also, p16 positivity was seen in 92.9% of tumors.
